Goal
Modernizing the NMLS legacy platform with a scalable, customized design system that builds on proven FINRA components — establishing a reliable single source of truth that enhances consistency, reduces ambiguity, and supports the ongoing evolution of FINRA’s design system.
Problem Statement
As we began the NMLS project, we identified that FINRA’s design system, originally built collaboratively but no longer actively maintained, lacked the functionality needed to support our users work, prompting a need to improve its foundation for both project delivery and future reuse.
